A Third-Generation Family-Owned Business Since 1920
Established in 1920, Crown Hill Farm Enterprises is a third-generation, locally owned and family-operated farm, business, and retail stove dealership serving homeowners throughout McMinnville, Yamhill County, and the surrounding communities.
Founded by Damien and Zephirine Mochettaz, the farm was later operated by their daughter, Juliette, and grandson, Lucien. Following the tragic loss of Lucien’s father in a tractor accident in 1979, the family remained committed to preserving the business and its values. After Juliette passed away in 2012, Lucien assumed responsibility for the diversified operation and continues to carry on the family’s legacy today.
More than a century later, Crown Hill Farm Enterprises remains committed to quality products, honest service, competitive pricing, and a friendly country atmosphere.

What began as a family farm has grown into a diversified business while remaining true to its agricultural heritage. Today, Crown Hill Farm Enterprises includes livestock, timber, U-Cut firewood, locally raised locker beef, and a retail showroom featuring wood, pellet, gas, and electric stoves, fireplace inserts, fireplaces, chimney systems, venting products, and accessories.

A Legacy of Conservation & Community Leadership
Throughout its history, Crown Hill Farm Enterprises has earned recognition for agriculture, conservation, renewable energy, and community service. These accomplishments reflect the family’s commitment to responsible land stewardship and serving the community.
1998
Juliette was honored by the McMinnville Kiwanis Club for 51 consecutive years of dedicated service as the club’s pianist.
1999
Crown Hill Farm Enterprises was featured on the cover of the Yamhill County Economic Development Guide. Juliette and Lucien were named Outstanding Livestockmen of the Year, while Crown Hill Farm received Cooperator of the Year honors from the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District before earning statewide recognition from the Oregon Association of Conservation Districts.
2000
Lucien Gunderman was recognized as Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year by the McMinnville Jaycees. The Gunderman family was also featured on the cover of Oregon Agriculture magazine for its conservation efforts and accomplishments.
2001
The entire 800-acre Crown Hill Farm Enterprises was placed into a perpetual conservation easement, preserving the property for agriculture, timberland, and open space for future generations.
2002–2008
Crown Hill Farm Enterprises completed a three-phase micro-hydro generation project, becoming home to one of Oregon’s first newly licensed hydroelectric systems in more than two decades while expanding its renewable energy production.
2003–2004
The Gunderman family received numerous state and national conservation awards, including the DAR National Award for Conservation Practices, recognition from the Oregon Water Resources Commission, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds.
2004
Crown Hill Farm Enterprises celebrated 50 years of residential and commercial egg deliveries throughout Yamhill County.
2006
After more than five decades of service, the family concluded its commercial egg delivery operation, marking the end of an important chapter in the farm’s history.
Today
Life at Crown Hill Farm Enterprises is never still. New projects are always underway, but the mission remains unchanged. Lucien continues to manage the diversified operation while honoring the values, traditions, and commitment to customer service that have guided Crown Hill Farm Enterprises for more than a century.
